Common things
My profile would not load
A failed lookup does not mean the account is private, deleted, or blocking you — it means the public information could not be read at that moment. Try again; if it keeps failing, send the username you tried and roughly when.
My connection sections are empty
Mutuals and non-followers are built from your own Instagram data export, not from public information — that is the only honest source for them. In Instagram, request a download of your information (choose JSON), wait for the file, then add it in UNF. Until then those sections stay empty rather than being filled with a guess.
Adding a newer export
An export is a snapshot of one moment. Comparing two of them, taken at different times, is what produces “new followers” and “no longer following you”. Add a newer file whenever you want a fresh comparison.
Restoring a purchase
Open the plans screen and choose Restore purchases. It re-reads your Apple purchase history. If your subscription is genuinely active and it still does not restore, write in.
Cancelling a subscription
Cancel in the App Store: open Settings on your iPhone, tap your name, then Subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription, and UNF cannot cancel it for you.
Deleting your account and data
Open Settings in the app and choose to delete your account. It removes your profile selections, dated observations, imported files and generated reports. It cannot be undone, and it does not cancel an Apple subscription — do that separately, as above. Full detail is in the privacy policy.
Questions
Does UNF need my Instagram password?
No. UNF never asks for your Instagram password and never signs in as you. You enter a username, and UNF reads what Instagram already publishes about that profile.
Can UNF tell me who unfollowed me?
Only by comparing two sets of your own Instagram data, taken at different times. A follower count going down cannot name anybody, and a single snapshot has no history to compare against. UNF says exactly which of your sections have enough data and which do not.
Can UNF show who viewed my profile or my story?
No. Instagram does not publish profile viewers to anyone, and story viewers are not in a standard data export. Any app claiming otherwise is showing you a guess. UNF will not.
What is the Instagram data export, and why does UNF want it?
Instagram lets you download a copy of your own information, including your followers and following lists. UNF reads that file on your request to build the connection sections. It is a manual snapshot of one moment — nothing about it updates automatically.
Does UNF work with a private account?
Yes. A private account still has public metadata, and the connection sections are built from your own data export either way. UNF never changes your privacy settings and never reads private content.
How often does UNF check?
About once a day, in an afternoon window in your own time zone. UNF is not a real-time monitor and does not pretend to be one.
What does UNF Pro cost?
UNF Pro is $4.99 per month or $29.99 per year, billed through your Apple ID. You can cancel any time in the App Store. Prices are shown in your local currency by the App Store.
What is free without a subscription?
The daily check, your follower count, one tracked-profile preview, and the Fancy Text tools. Pro adds the rest of the report, the connection sections, daily history for up to 10 tracked profiles, and Profile Check.
How do I delete my account and data?
Open Settings inside the app and choose to delete your account. It removes your profile selections, observations, imported data and reports. You can also email support@unfollowers.io.
